MM: Cantara by Dead Can Dance

Formed in Melbourne, Australia, in 1981 by Lisa Gerrard and Brendan Perry, Dead Can Dance released their eponymous début album three years later on the 4AD label. From Gothic beginnings the duo developed their unique sound taking inspiration from traditional music and instrumentation from around the world. I was fortunate to see them live in 1993, on the same tour from which this video is taken.

Oh, I used to love Dead Can Dance. Well, I still do but I haven't listened to them for ages.

Emm: Me too. I still have a soft spot for most 4AD acts.

Agreed! 4AD were and continue to be epic! Although, they were slightly more epic about 15 years ago than they are now.
